A  wooden chess board of the veneer type with inlaid squares. This is a classic design of chess board, a clean design with notation. There are soft green protectors on the base to ensure your table doesn’t suffer any damage. This is a good quality solid chess board that will provide years of use if not decades. The squares are 5 cm wide which is just over 2 inches. Suitable for pieces with a king height of 3.5 inches or European No.5 size.

While you could use plastic pieces on this board, it’s ideal for average to nice wooden chess pieces. Sharp lines and a clean look. Mahogany is a reddish brown wood that pairs very well with most colors from black to cardinal and crimson rosewood.
