This large King’s chess set is the largest set(40 cm) from the range of our standard King’s sets, which is also one of the most popular sets. It has been equipped with an insert tray for the chess pieces. The pieces are made from hornbeam wood. Beech and birch wood boards are embellished through a traditional technique of burning patterns and designs in the wood.
Number and letter algebraic coordinates adorn the borders. Decorative metal clasps keep the board securely locked after play.
The simplest and most widely used form of chess notation is the algebraic notation. The edges of the chessboard are marked with letters and numbers.
Chess notation is an easy way to record your games so that you can play them back to study tactics, understand mistakes, or impress your friends. Give the notation a try in your next game – you will see that there is nothing more pleasant than the eye-catching exclamation mark behind the move that wins the game.
