The Large Pearl chess set is one of the most popular from our decorative range. Thanks to uniqueness of cherry wood this chess set has the most unique color palette from all our wooden chess sets. This large Pearl pieces are made from cherry wood.
Board is hand-decorated with a technique called INTARSJA – that is an old form of wood inlaying, start of that technique dates before the seventh century.
Thanks to this method, chess has a unique appearance and smooth board surface.
The folding chessboard is made of wood mainly of beech, on the side of the board there are two metal locks in gold colour. In the middle of the half-folded board there is a liner covered with a green velour coating to store the pieces.
The fields on the board are light brown and beige.
Carved figures are beige and dark brown and are made of solid wood (beech).
The folding chess board has been inlaid with mahogany and sycamore wood.
