RED KING’S CHESS SET(SMALL)

The small King’s chess set is the smallest set from the range of our standard King’s sets. Due to its size, it is one of the most popular decorative budget-priced sets. The pieces are made of sycamore wood.

The folding chessboard is made of wood, mainly of beech, and on the side of the board is a gold metal latch. Each chessboard grid is hand-painted in natural colours and burned on wood. In the middle of the half-folded board, there is a liner covered with a green velour coating to store figures. The chessboard is covered with burned ornaments on all sides. Carved, varnished with gloss figures are made of solid wood (beech). Figures are glued on the bottom with green felt.

This unique set is used for travel or office use. It offers an Eastern European twist on a traditional chess set design. The kings and queens have an opposite color cross design, making them stand out yet still be easily recognizable and playable. The hand-carved hornbeam wood chess pieces and beech and birch chessboard have an insert tray with two compartments for the dark and light chess pieces. A truly unique item for someone looking for something different yet still traditional and recognizable.
