This chess set is the medium version from our range of the Castle chess. Unique-shaped chess pieces. Great craftsmanship. This folding chessboard is made of mahogany/sycamore and is fully handcrafted and slightly weighted pieces made from lime wood.
Board is hand-decorated with a technique called INTARSJA – that is an old form of wood inlaying, the start of that technique dates before the seventh century.
Thanks to this method, chess has a unique appearance and smooth board surface.
The folding chessboard is made of mahogany and sycamore wood mainly of beech wood, on the side of the board, there are two metal locks in gold colour.
The chessboard has no insert tray for the chess pieces storage. The folding chess board contains two compartments for chess pieces which are glued underneath with green felt. Decorative metal clasps keep the board securely locked after play.

De afwerking en kwaliteit van dit schaakspel is erg mooi. Het is handgemaakt, elk stuk is stevig opgeborgen in de opvouwbare houten schaakbord. Het kwam goed verpakt aan. Voor de kerst.
