The Consul chess is a large, elegant set richly decorated by the method of pyrography (burning on wood). This chess set resembles the Ambassador Set. Thanks to the design of the chess pieces (similar to the one of Staunton), the size of the chess pieces and board many customers prefer this set instead of Tournament No 95. The folding chessboard is made of wood mainly of beech, on the side of the board, there are two metal locks in gold colour. Each chessboard grid is hand-painted in natural colours and burned on wood.
In the middle of the half-folded board, there is a liner covered with a green velour coating to store the carved chess pieces. The chessboard is covered with burned ornaments on all sides.
The chessboard has burned ornaments and is made of solid wood (beech). The pieces are glued on the bottom with green felt.

Nice chess set with clearly defined pieces & decent quality folding board case.

Snelle levering. Dit is een uitstekende schaakset. Grootte van de schaakstukken, de manier waarop het schaakbord is gesneden, top! De manier waarop de stukken in het bord passen, is ook uitstekend.

Très beau jeu d échecs, mon seul regret légèrement abîmé sur un côté.
Sinon rien à dire, je l adore bien réalisé et il sens bon le bois.

I bought this for my son as he wanted to learn to play chess with his dad. The pictures give this chessboard no justice its beautiful very well made and sturdy my son loves it and now he has learned the basics he’s teaching his little sister

Quando il prodotto rispecchia tutte le caratteristiche della inserzione sono il primo a lanciarmi in complimenti. Per il suddetto prodotto ci sono pro e contro. La scacchiera è molto bella, in legno, lucida. Anche i tempi di spedizione e le modalità buone. Non ho trovato pezzi danneggiati. Purtroppo i pezzi sono leggerini e NON SONO VERNICIATI mentre nella foto sono chiaramente lucidi e brillanti. Un paio di pezzi li ho trovati non completamente dipinti. Ho provveduto io come provvederò io personalmente a verniciarli. In sintesi un bel pezzo d’artigianato ma non perfetto come nelle foto.
