The Royal Lux Oak chess pieces from this set is weighted with a brass ring placed above the base. The fully hand-crafted pieces are made from oak wood. Thanks to its larger size and a unique design the Royal Lux is considered a deluxe chess set. The folding chess board has burned ornaments but no insert tray for the chess pieces inside.
Decorative metal clasps keep the board securely locked after play. The board is made from beach and birch wood. Beautiful for display.

It was very attractive, made from wood. I checked all the oak wooden pieces and board. The wood felt smooth with felt bottoms on the individual pieces. It was a good size and great storage for the pieces. I think I might make a cloth bag for the set so the wooden board doesn’t get scratched

The first thing we noticed about this chess set is how wonderful it SMELLS. That beautiful wood scent combined with what I can only describe as old-world – maybe even medieval – hand carving and burning, had me and my chess-playing family smitten before we’d even used the set. But then we got to play on it… The pieces feel so nice.

Meine Jungs haben in der Schule den Chess Club gegründet. Sie baten mich, ihnen ein Schachbrett zu kaufen, damit sie zu Hause üben können. Ich wollte ein decoratives Schachspiel fur das Wohnzimmer. Perfektes Spiel für die nicht elektronische Stimulation im Haus. Im Sommer wird es mehrmals herausgebracht und hat sich perfekt gehalten. Meine Jungs kümmern sich gut darum.
